Different types of tools use silicone of varying firmness. Most veiners are made from medium-firm silicone, which creates a clear impression on clay without tearing delicate veins.
Molds that require freezing use soft silicone, which can be turned inside out.
These silicone tools are suitable for use with any type of polymer clay — air-dry or oven-bake.
The silicone is not food-safe.
If you work with fondant, these tools can only be used if the sugar flowers are not intended for consumption. Food-safe silicone versions are available, priced about 30% higher. Contact me if you need veiners made from food-safe silicone.
Cutters are made from food-safe plastic, precisely replicating the shape of the veiners, but slightly smaller to allow edge trimming.
You can purchase the tools either as sets or individually!
Buying as a set is more cost-effective — the price already includes the discount.
